At WHEL Consulting, our mission is to help organisations and individuals.
Helping small to medium businesses build better, more effective workplaces by focusing on the four pillars that define our name: Workplace systems, HR and Health, Ergonomics, and Leadership — that’s the W-H-E-L (and yes, it’s meant to sound like “well,” because we’re all about working well).
Helping individuals means working across the lifespan, with children and parents, partnering with families to foster WHELness and optimise development. Our services in this space take a wholistic perspective, with approaches that aim to support children across all stages and levels of development. We believe partnering with schools, community groups and families translates to happier and healthier children who enjoy life and have fun - we know it’s how they build competence and resilience. And when kids are healthy and happy, family life flows.
Get in touch today to explore how our expert consultants can partner with you to boost your WHELbeing today. We’re here to listen, guide, and deliver solutions with precision and compassion — so your people, your family, and your business, can thrive.
Helping you work WHEL
About Us
At WHEL Consulting, we believe in keeping things practical, evidence-based, and grounded in the real world. We focus on what matters most: people. Whether it’s your small business compliance, your school’s graduate employment readiness, or your school age child’s struggles, we see and hear the desire to support them and help them live, work, and play well.
For organisations we focus on what matters most: strong leadership, clear systems, safe work practices, and a culture that supports people to do their best work. Our name — WHEL — reflects our commitment to Workplace, HR/Health, Ergonomics, and Leadership, and our approach always comes back to one principle: better workplaces start with simple, effective solutions.
We know that every business is different — and that what works in theory must also work on the ground. Our goal is to equip small and medium businesses with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to lead well, work safely, and build positive, productive workplaces.
Across the lifespan we face various challenges and at WHEL Consulting we want to acknowledge that just like organisations are different, every school and every individual is unique. Working with schools our blend of occupational therapy and psychology skills informs our approach to foster entire school WHELness, facilitating programs to help every child reach their own level of success - both at school and at home. We offer whole classroom approaches that facilitate child development through fun, interactive movement programs. We believe the complexity of every individual contributes to our community’s overall health and WHELbeing, and strategies that support this strengthen not only the individual but the domains within which they live, work and play.
We acknowledge life may be messy and every day is a juggle. Our belief is in supporting parents through compassionate, grounded, and evidence-based coaching. As a partnership between an Occupational Therapist and a Psychologist, we bring a unique blend of practical insight and professional expertise across the health span. Together, they share expertise in neurodevelopmental foundations and reflex integration, supporting individuals, families, schools and organisations to strengthen learning, WHELbeing, self-regulation and performance across all stages of life.
Claire brings deep knowledge of occupational performance, bespoke program development, ergonomics, leadership and workforce development in high-risk industries. Julie brings strategic people management experience and a real-world understanding of what it takes to lead well and manage safely. Together, we deliver advice, training, and systems that actually work to help organisations and individuals work, live and play WHEL — not just look good on paper.

Helping you work, live and play WHEL
Workplace, Life & Play Systems
At WHEL Consulting, we help businesses put simple, effective systems in place to support safety, performance, and culture — without the paperwork overload. From WHS training and procedures to policy suites, performance management, and injury management tools, our workplace systems are designed to be practical, usable, and tailored to how your business actually runs.
We support children, parents, schools and community groups to help children thrive at home and at school. We recognise that every child is different and work together to build the skills and supports they need to succeed throughout life.
Leadership & Followership
At WHEL Consulting, we support small and medium businesses to build safe, healthy, and productive workplaces — starting with practical, evidence-based solutions. From ergonomic and manual handling training to culture reviews, psychosocial risk assessments, and communication workshops, we tailor our services to strengthen individual WHELbeing, team dynamics, and organisational health — all with real-world outcomes that actually work.
Across the life and health span our approach is strengths based, and fostering success for each individual. We aim to build practical skills and knowledge through evidence based programs and interventions, to increase kids’ and their parents’ ability to participate in the tasks that matter most to them in daily life. We believe workable solutions mean options that make daily life smoother, not activities adding to the already overwhelming task list.
Health & WHELbeing
At WHEL Consulting, we take a practical, people-first approach to leadership. Our services help business owners and teams build the confidence, clarity, and capability to lead well and follow well — because strong workplaces need both. From strategy development and team building to coaching and wellbeing support for owners, our tailored programs create real-world impact where it matters most: in everyday leadership and workplace culture.
We all spend parts of our lives following others, but our ability to lead ourselves gradually develops from childhood through to adulthood and influences how we learn, work, and interact with others. Working across school age to high school children to foster their understanding and capacity for leadership of both themselves and others, we aim to equip kids with the knowledge and skills to face whatever challenges the future may hold.
